WORKING WITH CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE

The right kind of support is crucial to those entering into adolescence and beyond. This is a time of rapid and intense change, when finding one's identity and creating relationships is hugely important. Of course, this can also be challenging. Even more so given the ever changing landscape of our world.

Meeting the young person where they are and creating a strong therapeutic alliance is vital to ensuring that they feel empowered to explore their thoughts and feelings in a safe and confidential space. 

I have a specialist CPCAB level 5 diploma in working with children and young people from age 11 to 18.

I am passionate about working with this age range and have been doing so for a number of years. I have also completed the following trainings with the Tavistock Centre in London:

• Families and Beyond - An introduction to systemic thinking, Certificate

• Understanding Adolescence, Certificate.

As well as this I have completed extensive training on the safeguarding of children and young people.
